I am revealing my life here, because this is relevant to my writing. Although the current book ‘Awaken to the Light of Spirit’ is part of this journey, I’m engaged in other projects that will also reveal the light. I’m engaged in this mission with my guardian angel Auriel.

I can remember back to my early childhood and some of my previous lives. I arrived in this life with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an artistic imagination that would evolve into spiritual gifts. However, before any of this potential could be realized, I needed to attend school and develop through my childhood. So that all this energy was suppressed and was redirected into my academic studies where I excelled. Although my early years were sometimes extremely challenging, I have emerged as a stronger person. I believe this has helped me to handle the responsibilities of a spiritual path - later in life.

I am extremely fortunate to have had an excellent education. My father was an officer in the military and we moved across Europe with his postings. My education in France is worth a mention. I had a bilingual education at the chateau school in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. I also attended the public school lycée at Sèvres in Paris. When we returned to England, I had a good secondary level education which helped to develop my intellect. While attending school, I played tournament chess at local and regional level. I also had an opportunity of playing chess for my country. Chess is a gift in the family. However, I decided to focus on my studies instead and gained a competitive scholarship in electrical engineering.

Following graduation, I had a varied career in IT that exposed me to many different technologies – from marine electronics and radar to computing, telephony and networks. I also applied a range of consultancy skills to advise on the application of technology in business. I headed a consultancy service called Applied Research that advised on the market potential of IT products across Europe and the UK. I became an expert in electronic commerce and open systems and lectured at numerous conferences. I also wrote a number of seminal works and books on the application of IT including: ‘The Bible of EDI’ with the Article Number Association; and ‘EDI in the Motor Industry’ with Pergamon Press. (EDI is an abbreviation of Electronic Data Interchange: that was the electronic commerce of the 1980s/90s.)

Then I became an independent consultant in the next phase of my career and was involved in the development of software. I also worked for the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in London, when I project managed an information system with thousands of users. I was also involved in the BBC’s digital archive project and gained a lot of experience in the preservation of data.
